I have taken the Etsy Holiday Boot Camp Pledge!

I, Andrea, pledge to participate in the Etsy Success Holiday Boot Camp to the best of my abilities. I vow to check in every week, do my homework and support my fellow Holiday Boot Campers. I will read the weekly newsletters and blog posts, check in on the weekly forum thread, read the weekly blog post, check off the checklists and salute the mascot. I promise to share what I've learned with those who need it, support my fellow Etsy indiepreneurs and, most of all, have a positive and persistent attitude. I understand that together we can spread the word about our handmade and vintage goods, making this holiday season a more unique and meaningful one to gift givers and give-ees everywhere!

Well it's about time I post! :D

It has been real busy around here lately so, I haven't had a chance to post in a couple weeks.
We went down to Myrtle Beach, S.C. for a friends wedding which was absolutely beautiful. It was Raelynn's first time at the beach and 2 days before we left she started teething. We were wondering how an 8+ hour drive would be with a  teething 5 month old but it was a lot easier that expected.
She seemed to enjoy it! Didn't even mind when the waves came up!

It was the first time I had to put my shop in "Vacation Mode" but I must say it was very nice to have 4 days off from my full time job and my accessories shop!

Breast Cancer Bows! Finished Product

I finished the Breast Cancer Bows this past weekend! I plan on listing them on Etsy sometime this week!

I am so happy with the way they turned out and Raelynn did such a good job helping Mommy show them off too!
I will post more pics of the others soon!!!

Breast Cancer Bows!

With Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October) being right around the corner, I have been on the lookout for embellishments for bows. I found the perfect ones! They are just too cute, and I love the sayings on them.
I plan on making and listing them on my Etsy by the end of this weekend and part of the proceeds will be going to Susan G. Komen.

About 207,090 new cases of breast cancer will be diagnosed in women in the United States in 2010. Let's do our part to find a cure!

Can't wait until Halloween!

I was finally able to list my Halloween items on Etsy yesterday. After days of my OCD kicking my "you know what" and having to perfect every little thing, they are finally up! There is just one problem...I have gotten a little attached to one of my products. The "EEK!" Clippie. I was very please with the way they turned out. I love that the lime green wrapped snap clippies match perfectly with the lime green spider on the purple bow that is attached.
Halloween is by far my favorite holiday, probably due to my ridiculous addiction to chocolate, oh wait ANY kind of candy :) Halloween this year is going to be extra special. It is my daughter's first Halloween!! I must confess, I started looking for costumes for her BEFORE she was born. I still haven't decided what she will dress up as. I'm thinking maybe I'll make her a Tinkerbell costume. Green onesie, green white and silver tutu, white stockings, ballet slipper shoes, oh wait no GLITTER shoes (I spotted them at Babies R Us tonight)!!! I can't forget the wings either!

The Blogging Has Begun!!!

I love making accessories for my daughter so I wanted to share my works of art with others to enjoy as well. I spend my days thinking of "What colors can I use next?"   "What ribbon sculptures can I make?" or "Which Holiday can I start making accessories for?" The possibilities are ENDLESS. Not one of my bows will be the EXACT same as the other.

Yes, it takes time and yes, sometimes things don't turn out the exact way I envisioned them but what a stress reliever it is sometimes.

Anyways, I wanted to make my first post short and sweet. There will be a lot more to come :)

THE FUN HAS JUST BEGUN!!!
